Our paradigms are challenged
Let’s take a moment to think about how the paradigm that Jesus established 2000 years ago still influences us today.
We have made incredible advancements in technology, economics, culture, and science, but we have yet to surpass the paradigm that Jesus created. Our human paradigms are short-lived, lasting only a decade or so, and with the rapid rate of change we have seen in the last fifty years, it’s difficult for us to appreciate new paradigms.
We have a natural resistance to change and are often torn between wanting to pioneer the newest paradigm and holding onto the latest one we discovered.
We’re afraid of the gap between what we know and what we don’t know, and we often wait for others to bridge that gap and tie the ropes of our side to the other side.
But there are courageous individuals amongst us who are willing to lead the way and take us to the other side.
They empower us with their courage and inspire us to explore new territories and overcome our fears of the unknown. They have gone before us and prepared the way for us, standing as a cloud of witnesses, cheering us on to enter the kingdom of God and become the light of the world.
Despite all our achievements, we cannot move ahead of the paradigm that Jesus established 2000 years ago. It still influences us today, and those who choose to follow it lead us to new and exciting territories.
So, I ask you, are you willing to take that leap of faith and explore the kingdom of God with those who have gone before us?
The choice is yours.
