You’re pretty amazing
Your life is pretty dang significant, like seriously amazing!
And I’m not just talking about what your parents or the people who care about you or even those who are important to you said about you. Nope, I mean you, yourself, should know how awesome you are. It’s super important to have a good idea of what you think about your life.
It’s totally cool to care about what others think, but in the end, what you think of yourself matters the most. And that’s where your identity comes in. Who are you, really? That’s the big question you got to answer.
And let me tell you, it’s not something you figure out all at once. It’s a process, a journey, an adventure even! You got to discover who you are, bit by bit. You need an accurate, truthful picture of who you really are.
Now, let’s talk about growing up.
We’re all born into a family, with parents or guardians who take care of us. And those folks have their own ideas of who we are. Sometimes they tell us what they think, and if we’re lucky, they say good stuff that makes us feel great. But for a lot of parents and teachers out there, they gave a lot of negative feedback about who you are.
Maybe your parents always said you weren’t good enough, or you had a teacher who said something mean that stuck with you. And as young people, we tend to believe what the adults tell us. We trust them.
But here’s the thing, adults don’t always know what they’re doing. We make mistakes, big ones sometimes. We say things that aren’t true. And because you’re still figuring out who you are, those bad words we speak over you can hurt and stick with you.
But here’s the good news!
You don’t have to believe the lies us adults have told you about who you are.
You’re not stupid, you’re not worthless, and you’re definitely not a failure! You’re so much more than those lies!
And here’s the thing, the one who designed you, the one who created you, is way bigger than any human. God himself thought about you before your parents were even born. He designed you, he made you, and he thinks you’re pretty awesome.
You’re good enough to live this life that’s been given to you, and you’re good enough to do amazing things.
So, pick up your head, go out there, and make it happen. You are worth it!
