You are what you think

You know how people say that everyone has a purpose in life?

Well, it turns out that this purpose is actually tied to our identity.

To fulfill our individual purpose, we need to know who we really are. When we understand the purpose of something or someone, we also get a glimpse of its true identity. So, it’s not just some optional thing to know who we are – it’s actually super important.

Once we figure out who we are and what we’re all about, it’s like a light bulb goes off in our heads.

We can’t be anything other than who we believe we are. Our lives are shaped by the thoughts we entertain about ourselves. There’s a quote from Proverbs that says, “For as he, a man thinks in his heart, so [is] he.” In other words, the thoughts we hold onto about ourselves become our actual identities.

This means that who you are is basically who you think you are, regardless of what anyone else says, even God.

For example, if you don’t truly believe that you’re a conqueror, even if God says you are, then you won’t be able to achieve that conqueror status. On the flip side, if you constantly tell yourself that you’re a failure, then you’ll always feel like one, and eventually start acting like one too.

Our thoughts have a direct impact on our feelings, which in turn affect our actions.

But if we believe that we’re conquerors, we’ll feel like conquerors, and start acting like it too. See how that works?

So, to sum it all up, knowing who we are and what our purpose is, is key to achieving our dreams and becoming the best version of ourselves.
