Gardeners understand

Patience.

It’s super important, especially when it comes to understanding long-term, permanent changes in people. It’s kind of like gardening – you can’t just plant a seed and expect a full-grown tree the next day. It takes time, effort, and the right environment to cultivate something beautiful.

As the saying goes, “there is no garden without a gardener.”

And just like a gardener has a responsibility to cultivate the seed, we too have a responsibility to create the right environment for growth. We can’t make people change, but we can help cultivate their potential by providing a loving, supportive environment.

It’s not about controlling people or giving them growth, it’s about planting the seed and trusting that God will bring the increase. As the Apostle Paul said, “one plants, another waters, but God gives the growth.”

So, whether you’re serving the broken and hurt, or just trying to be a positive influence on those around you, remember that you’re a gardener in God’s garden. By His grace, we can create an environment where people can grow and become more like Jesus. It’s all about assisting others in an environment of love, so that they can become the best version of themselves.
